Re-sanding your driveway

After the cleaning of your driveway we need to allow the blocks to fully dry. This is usually completed a few days after the cleaning process. The blocks must be fully dried to completely fill the joints. We use kiln dried sand to brush into the joints of the blocks. This is done for a number of reasons including:

1) The sand is sterile. This helps fight the regrowth of weeds.

2) This stabilises the blocks.

3) This completes the improved look of the driveway by filling in the joints with clean bright sand.

Sanding can only be completed in dry weather as damp sand is unworkable.

Could I do it myself?

Pressure washing is a time consuming job that can get exceptionally dirty. Our equipment is built for larger areas suitable for driveway cleaning. The petrol pressure washers we use mean that we can complete the job in a fraction of the time it’d usually take, while keeping mess to a minimum.

What do you need from me?

We need to get access to water, preferably from an outside tap.

How long will it take?

We can usually complete a domestic driveway within a day, however a follow up visit is usually required to brush in the kiln dried sand.
